Cardinals fall 6-3 to Monett in home tennis match

1. The Cardinals boys tennis team Monday fell just short of finding themselves back to a .500 record on the season. Webb City fell to the visiting Monett Cubs in a close 6-3 matchup.

Doubles results:

• Alex Stanley and Lester Pascua lost 8-3 to Elijah Ridenour and Braxton Jackson
• Easton McDonald and Cameron Stone lost 8-1 to Logan Kutz and Keegan Kutz
• Justice Bonnow and Jayden Bowker won 8-6 against Emiliano Garcia and Quincy Hartwigsen

Singles results:

• Stanley lost to Ridenour 8-1
• McDonald lost to L. Kutz 8-1
• Pascua lost to Jackson 8-5
• Bonnow lost to K. Kutz 8-0
• Bowker won against Garcia 8-4
• Stone won against Hartwigsen 8-2

Webb City will be at Willard Thursday and at the Carthage tournament Friday.
