Webb City softball is back home Thursday against Carl Junction after a busy week.
The Cardinals opened their home season last Thursday with a 12-2 win over Waynesville, highlighted by catcher Liz Rhuems’ home run. She, Abby Sargent and Brecklynn Sargent all had 3 RBIs.
In the Joplin tournament on Friday and Saturday, Webb City started off with a 10-0 shutout over McDonald County but lost their next three games: 6-4 against Broken Arrow, Okla.; 7-4 against Raymore-Peculiar, and 5-1 against Ozark.
The Cardinals were 3-4 going into their game Tuesday at Lebanon. Carl Junction is 7-2. After going to Glendale Tuesday, the Cardinals will return home Thursday, Sept. 18, to host Kickapoo.
