Cardinals seek fifth win against Ozark

The 4-3 Webb City Cardinals are home this week against Ozark.
Ozark got its second win last weed by defeating Neosho at home 42-14. The Tigers’ other win was at Willard.
Senior football players, cheerleaders, band members and Redettes will be escorted onto the field by their parents prior to the start of the game.
At halftime, the JROTC will unfurl a large American flag to honor veterans while the junior and senior high bands perform the “1812 Overture.”
Webb City’s football program was politely praised at Nixa last week just before the Eagles celebrated defeating the Cardinals for the first time, 41-27.
Webb City’s Omari Jackson scored a touchdown to answer Nixa’s opening touchdown. The point-after kick was blocked.
Quarterback Landon Johnson and Dante Washington hooked up for a 17-yard touchdown pass to again answer the Eagles, who led 14-12 at the half.
The Eagles scored two more touchdowns to open the third quarter.
Dupree Jackson brought Webb City within 8 (28-20), with a 6-yard run.
Cade Wilson ran for 10 yards to score the Cardinals’ final touchdown.
Johnson completed eight of 16 passes for 116 yards. Cade Wilson led the ground campaign with 154 yards on 26 carries.
Dante Washington caught three passes for 50 yards.
