Webb City boys entered their Christmas break Friday with a 76-54 win over Northeast (Kansas City Public Schools) in the 12 Courts of Christmas at Kansas City.
They’ll resume play on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at Nixa and then play Jan. 8 – 10 in Joplin’s annual Kaminsky Classic.
In Hy-Vee Arena Friday, the 4-2 Cardinals took a 23-14 first-quarter lead over the Vikings and went into the half with a 31-25 lead. They went on to outscore Northeast 21-10 and 24-19 in the second half.
Four Cardinals scored in double figures: Carson Anderson, 15; Trae Turner, 14; Holden Johnson, 13, and Jackson Adams, 12. Johnson also grabbed six rebounds.
