Webb City will host Republic during winter homecoming Friday in the Cardinal Dome.
The 11-8 Cardinals defeated Miami, Okla., 60-49 in a late-scheduled game Wednesday in the Dome.
Four players scored in double figures, led by Trae Turner with 22; Mason Young, 13; Holden Johnson, 10, and Hudson Matthiesen, 10.
In a rough game at Glendale last Friday, the Cardinals lost 59-54 to the Falcons. Both teams went on runs, with the Cardinals holding a 1-point lead at the first of the fourth quarter. Mason Young led the Cardinals with 14 points, followed by Hudson Matthieson, 13; and Holden Johnson, 10.
At home Tuesday, the state-ranked Kickapoo Chiefs got the best of them 62-36. Playing a tempo game, the Cardinals trailed only 8-7 at the end of the first quarter. The Chiefs were ahead 21-13 at the half and expanded their lead in the second half.
The Cardinals will continue playing teams in their conference division next week, beginning Tuesday at Carthage (7-11) and then at home Friday against Willard (9-8).
