Cardinals win 10-0 at home vs. Waynesville

The Webb City Cardinals got their second baseball win of the season Wednesday with a 10-0 romp at home over Waynesville.

The 6-2 Cardinals got 7 hits, 3 of which were by Karsen Myers. Luke Beverlin and Mason Young both got 2 RBIs. Young, as the relief pitcher, was credited with the win.

Webb City is now set to play Belton and Benton Saturday in the Springfield Red and Blue Tournament. The Cardinals will be back home Tuesday against Lebanon.

In a double header Saturday at Carl Junction, Webb City lost 9-5 against Collinsville and 4-1 against Carl Junction. Landon Fletcher went the distance on the mound for Webb City against Carl Junction. Mason Young started against Collinsville and got 2 hits.

Senior center fielder Andrew Young has been getting multiple hits each game. He went 3 for 4 against Collinsville.

Webb City, at home Tuesday, became Nixa’s 11th victim of the season with an 8-3 loss. Luke Beverlin and Brock Renfro both had 2 hits and an RBI each. Brody Eggleston got the team’s third RBI.
