Startling ribbon cutting

An explosion of confetti at the same time the big scissors cut the ribbon adds excitement to Mid-Missouri Bank’s grand opening Friday. Holding the scissors are Jennifer Sparks, Webb City MidMo bank manager, and Andy Perigo, MidMo Bank’s community president in the Webb City and Joplin markets. MidMo Bank’s main facility in Webb City is now at 1421 S. Madison St.

Carterville pet clinic set for June 8

Carterville will hold a pet vaccination clinic for dogs and cats from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at City Hall.

The total cost for rabies, distemper/parvo and dewormer shots for dogs and cats is $35.

Sky Kings Fun Fly

The Sky Kings R/C (remote control) Club will hold its Mid-Spring Fun Fly and Swap Meet from 9 a.m. to sunset on Saturday, June 8, at their airfield.

Spectators are welcome and advised to bring lawn chairs and hats. There’s no admission fee. Lunch will be available for purchase.

An Academy of Model Aeronautics card is required to fly.

The airfield is located north of Sharon Drive. It’s actually in Webb City, at the west edge of Carterville.

Red Cross blood drive

The Red Cross will conduct a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the Webb City Public Library.

Scheduling an appointment is recommended.
