In the month of September, Carterville Elementary School students focused on teamwork – being respectful, listening to others, offering to help, taking turns, sharing ideas, giving thoughtful feedback, encouraging everyone to do their best, doing what I say I will do, and having a positive attitude.

Auditions for “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play,” adapted by Joe Landry, will be held at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 2 and 3, at Joplin Little Theatre.
Director Marilyn Bouldin is looking for two women and two men, with a cast of up to 25.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.
Performance dates are Dec. 6 – 10.
