Webb City cheerleaders competed Saturday for the first time in the Game Day State competition and walked away as the 4A Game Day State Champions.
Sponsor Ashlea Large reports they competed against 11 other teams in their division and won first place overall.
They were judged first in band chant, first in timeout cheer, and second in fight song.
“If you see any cheerleaders today, please help us congratulate them on history made!” Large wrote in an email to the high school staff.

The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
