City wishes Patti Etherton a happy retirement

Patti Etherton may have been best known by her fellow Webb City employees as the payroll clerk, but if she answered the phone when you called City Hall her pleasant voice and demeanor made you glad the city doesn’t have enough extra leftover cash to purchase an answering machine.

In addition to being a payroll clerk for the past 14 years, City Clerk Kim DeMoss said Patti will be missed for also overseeing the city’s participation in United Way and the Badges & Burgers fundraiser.

Lori Wingo is replacing Patti at the front desk.

“I’ve been blessed all my life with good jobs,” said Patti.

She said her immediate retirement plan is to help her husband, Bobby, recover from shoulder surgery.
