Webb City High School Athletic Director John Roderique announced this week that Clay Milas has been named interim head baseball coach for the 2026-27 season.
The position opened when Andrew Doennig recently resigned to begin the baseball program at a new high school in Florida.
Milas has assisted Doennig for two years while teaching high school business. Both continued the connection between the Webb City from Missouri Southern State University baseball programs.
Milas played for former Webb City coach Bryce Darnell for three years before becoming his graduate assistant for two years.
Doennig also played for MSSU, and he succeeded Bryce Darnell’s brother, Flave Darnell, to lead the Cardinals.
