Daniel Reeve Vollmer, 42, of Webb City, passed away on Aug. 20, 2025, in Joplin.
He was born on Feb. 6, 1983, in St. Louis to Dennis Carter Vollmer and Theresa Dianne Stonecipher.
Daniel was loved by all who knew him, and his smile always lit up the room. Danny was capable of expressing great joy despite having endured incapacitating cerebral palsy and numerous other health challenges throughout his life. He attended Joplin schools until age 18 and even attended prom in his senior year. His family is ever grateful for the attention and care he received from his special education teachers, schoolmates and home care specialists.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his brother, Dennis Aaron Vollmer; niece and nephew, Audrey and Lucas; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Daniel is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arlene Stonecipher Stanley and Daniel Stonecipher; his paternal grandparents, Dennis and Patricia Vollmer; and his devoted caregiver and co-guardian for many years, Janet Nokes.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, at his mother’s home, 602 N. Wall Avenue, Joplin.
