Joplin Little Theatre proudly announces its ninth biennial Valentine concert, “Decades of Love,” taking place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026.
This year’s event invites audiences to experience a heartfelt musical journey through some of the greatest love songs spanning from the 1950s to 2026.
Designed to celebrate both Valentine’s Day and the enduring legacy of beloved popular music, “Decades of Love” features a talented ensemble of singers and dancers performing classics such as “You’re Just in Love,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” “L-O-V-E,” “All I Ever Need Is You,” “Love Shack,” “I Will Always Love You,” “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” and many more. The concert highlights memorable hits from each decade, offering something special for every generation of music lovers.
The production is directed by Carolyn McGowan, with direction assistance by Brianna Daniel. Masters of ceremonies for the event are Preston Hamilton and Jennifer Jones. Choreography for the performance is provided by Brianna Daniel, Cathy Hall, Kristen Stremel and Zoey Woods. The concert showcases an extensive cast of singers and dancers from across the region, contributing their talents to an afternoon of celebration, nostalgia, and entertainment.
“Decades of Love” also serves an important purpose: it is a fundraiser for Joplin Little Theatre’s Historic Preservation Fund. Proceeds from the event support the continued care and preservation of JLT’s historic facility – recognized as one of the oldest continuously operating community theatres west of the Mississippi River. This effort ensures that the theatre can continue enriching the community through live performance, education, and cultural engagement for years to come.
The performance will be held at Joplin Little Theatre, with seating available to the public.
