The Webb City R-7 School District honored an unusually large group of retirees Friday with a luncheon at Nexus Event Center.

Superintendent Brenten Byrd told them the district wishes them well, yet he hates to lose their experience.

The retirees and their years with the district are:

(FRONT) Julie West, Carterville lunch/library aide, 21 years; Laura Hoog, Carterville special education, 23; Kim Spink, high school special education, 17; Dawn Craig, high school front office aide, 7; Sondra Ogle, junior high building tech, 25; Michelle Gannaway, Webster PE/health, 24; Melinca Benham, high school choir, 26; Beth Buford, middle school music, 23.

(MIDDLE) Kevin Jackson, transportation, 9; Joel Dorris, transportation, 24; Gail Olson, transportation, 24; Sue Woods, Heritage Parents as Teachers, 27; Carmen Feliciano, Eugene Field secretary, 15; Leigh Miller, high school counselor, 30; Shauna Friend, high school science, 28.
