The Webb City School District honored staff members who are retiring after this school year with a luncheon Friday at the Student Services Center.
Among them is Superintendent Tony Rossetti, who is being replaced by Brenten Byrd, assistant superintendent for instruction.
The eighteen retirees represent a total of 341 years with the district. Scholarships in their names were presented during Academic Awards Night.
Those attending were: (SITTING) Naomi Hass, junior high paraprofessional, 21.5 years; Nancy O’Banion, high school theatre, 25 years; Janel Smith, high school algebra, 22 years; Aimee Cooper, process coordinator, 30 years; Stephanie Moore, second grade at Webster Primary Center, 13 years; Dana Perry, art at Eugene Field Elementary, seven years.
(STANDING) Tony Rossetti, superintendent, 14 years; Rhonda Lawrence, high school physical education, 19 years; Tammy Dorris, bus driver, 20 years; Sherri Hostetter, junior high office aide, 25 years; Kelli Garvey, junior high secretary, 24 years; Leigh Ann Goswick, Title I instructional coach at Webster Primary Center, 33 years; Tracy Metcalf, Title I instructional coach at Madge T. James Kindergarten Center, 17 years; Jill Short, instructional coach, 20 years; Todd Napier, high school at risk, five years.
Unable to attend were: Cindy Richardson, junior high paraprofessional, 26 years; Linda Lane, secretary at Eugene Field Elementary, 19.5 years; and David Bay, bus driver, 10 years.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
