Carterville Elementary School students during February focused on real world skills, including independence and critical thinking skills. “We want our students to not be afraid to try something even if it’s hard or new, and we want our students to attempt to solve their own problems first, before needing the help of an adult,” says principal Jarett Cook.
Carterville Elementary invites everyone to attend their school carnival from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at the school, 210 E. Hall St., Carterville.
There will be walking tacos, popcorn, balloon animals, caricatures, cotton candy and much more! This is the school’s only fundraising event for the year.
