19 qualify for individual events at sectional track



Webb City has 11 girls and eight boys qualifying to compete in the sectional track meet on Saturday at Waynesville. Two girls and two boys relay teams are also advancing.

The girls were champions of the Class 3 District 6 meet last Saturday at Nixa.

Brooke Hedger led the team with first-place finishes in the 800 and 1600. Arceli Perez was first in the 3200 and third in the 1600.

Noa Shewmake won the pole vault, and the 4×800 relay team also came in first.

The boys team took second place in team results, led by gold-medal efforts by Louden Bolinger in the shot put, Cooper White in javelin and Trae Turner in high jump. The 4×800 relay team also took first place.
