Volleyball set for two home games here Saturday
After taking fourth place at the Hillcrest tournament last weekend and losing at Bentonville Monday, Webb City volleyball got back on track at home Tuesday winning 3-0 against Seneca.
The Cardinals will host Pittsburg Colgan and El Dorado Springs Saturday.
The three-game schedule is: 9 a.m., Webb City-Colgan; 11 a.m. Colgan-El Dorado Springs; 1 p.m. Webb City-El Dorado Springs.
In Monday night’s victory, Kearston Galardo recorded 15 kills. Also scoring at the net were Brenda Lawrence, 7; Kenzie Storm, 6; Aubree Lassiter, 5; Kyah Sanborn, 3, and Kate Brownfield, 1.
Sophia Crane had 14 digs.
On Thursday, Sept. 9, Webb City defeated Mt. Vernon 3-1.
On Friday and Saturday, Webb City will compete in the Park Hill tournament.
The ribbon cutting for Webb City’s improved softball field will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, prior to a conference matchup with Neosho.
In addition to new turf, the improvements include new dugouts and backstop and terrace seating for fans.
