First movies shown at theater coming back for 80th anniversary on April 9

The Route 66 Movie Theater is about to celebrate it’s 80th anniversary, and recently the theater history has been coming into the light a lot more. This is a rare angle that we don’t see the theater at too often, look at it compared to now, pretty original!

On opening night, it was quite the event, with performers, musicians and other entertainment. Along with that, two movies were shown, “Cowboy Canteen” and “Wildfire.”

Now we may not have as much performance and entertainment as they did that day, but the Route 66 Movie Theater will be showing both of those films on April 9, just like they did 80 years ago, right after a ribbon cutting ceremony. Tickets and more information can be found on the website and Facebook.
