The first segment of a trail connecting the Frisco and Ruby Jack trails is nearly finished. It leads from the Webb City recycling center on North Madison Street to Center Creek.

First segment of Frisco-Ruby Jack trails connector nearly ready to walk, run, bike

That was fast. Asbell Construction didn’t take long creating a base and laying a gravel for a new trail on the north side of Webb City.

It’s actually just a short trail to demonstrate the potential for the Joplin Trails Coalition plan to connect the Frisco Greenway Trail in Webb City to the Ruby Jack Trail in Oronogo.

The recently constructed segment begins at Madison Street near the recycling center at the entrance to the Center Creek 201 Wastewater Treatment Plant.

It continues west toward the plant before curving north between ponds to Center Creek.
