9 wrestlers now going to state championships



Webb City now has a total of nine wrestlers going to the MSHSAA State Championships this weekend at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.

Four Cardinals qualified Saturday at the Class 3 District 3 boys tournament at Bolivar.

They join five girls who qualified Feb. 14 at the Class 2 District meet at Ozark.

The boys going to state and their district result are:

• Tyler Christensen, 132, second place

• Carson Rooks, 150, third place

• Raiden Haggard, 175, second place

• Louden Bolinger, 285, second place

The Webb City boys placed eighth as a team with 96 points. Helias won it with 263 points, and Carl Junction was second, with 179.

The girls who qualified a week earlier are:

• Tatum Christensen, 135, fourth place

• Sierra Devore, 140, second place

• Kinley Sinclair, 145, fourth place

• Maddie Barchak, 155, fourth place

• Mackenzie Booth, 235, fourth place

Webb City girls competing in the championships are Kinley Sinclair, Mackenzie Booth, Ta;tum Christensen, Maddie Barchak and Sierra Devore.
