Girls open season with 83-47 win at Lebanon

Five Cardinals scored in double figures Monday as the Webb City girls basketball team started the season with an 83-47 win at Lebanon.

Whitleee Keith and Adalyn Maxwell both scored 16 points, while Brecklynn Sargent, Abby Sargent and Addie Burns all added 13.

The Cardinals led 54-18 at the half.

Next on the schedule is the Joplin JV Shootout on Dec. 6, followed by a road game on Dec. 9 at Pittsburg, Kan., and the Joplin Lady Eagle Classic, Dec. 11-13.

The boys team will also be at Pittsburg on Dec. 9. They’re entered in the Carthage tournament, Dec. 11-13.

The girls swim team’s first meet will be here Tuesday.

And there will be a wrestling match Thursday, Dec. 4 in the Cardinal Dome.
