The Webb City girls came back after a big early deficit to give No. 1 seed Marshfield a scare Saturday in the semifinals of the Class 5 District 6 tournament at Willard.
Marshfield led by 18 points at one point in the first half, but the Lady Cardinals came back within 1 point (41-40) in the third quarter.
Marshfield’s Lady Jays went on to defeat Webb City 62-52 and win the district championship.
Webb City’s season ended with a 19-9 record.
Scoring leader Abby Sargent led all scorers against Marshfield, with 22. That raises her season total to 362. Her season rebound total rose by 6 to 142.
Adalyn Maxwell had 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Webb City made it to the semifinals by defeating Willard 55-50 in the opening round.
