Golf team places fourth at district tournament

The Webb City boys golf team had a fourth-place finish in the recent Class 4, District 3 Tournament at Lake Valley Golf Course in Camdenton. 
Individually, Keegon Dill and Levi Lassiter qualified to compete in the state championship tournament, which will be held May 16-17 at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield. 
Dill received All-District honors with a sixth-place finish.

Other sports’ districts are on tap

The Cardinals will compete in the Class 4 District 6 track meet Saturday at Carl Junction.

Meanwhile, the baseball and girls soccer teams will close out their regular seasons at home Thursday.

The baseball team will entertain Colgan at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. 

They’ll get a day off before taking on Grandview in the Class 4 District 7 tournament at 2 p.m. Saturday at Neosho’s athletic complex. The Cardinals (15-15) are seeded second behind McDonald County. Here’s the bracket.

The girls soccer team will also be at home Thursday as they play Fair Grove (0-13) at 5 p.m. at Cardinal Stadium.

The Cardinals (11-8) are seeded fourth in Class 3 District 6. They’ll play fifth seed Parkview at 7 p.m. Monday. Carl Junction, seeded second behind Branson, is the district host. Semifinals are Wednesday and the final at noon Saturday, May 21. Here’s the bracket.
