Life Made New Ministries, a transition home for men, has been evicted from the house it’s been renting at 1224 S. Jefferson St. in Webb City.
Sam Harter has operated the faith-based organization, which was previously located in a former church on North Main Street.
Clark Wilson, owner of the property, said, “I tried to help him as much as I could.”
He and a graduate of the program, Aaron Rollow, were emptying the contents of the house on Wednesday, including a stack of beds, and filling a roll-off dumpster. Rollow said at one time there were up to 12 men living in the house.
Wilson said he is exploring options to sell the property.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
