The Joplin Trails Coalition Jamboree will be held Saturday in two Oronogo locations.
Starting off the jamboree at 10 a.m. will be a casual run/walk on the Ruby Jack Trail, which the coalition helped establish. The starting point will be at the Grant Street access.
Grant Street also happens to go by the city park, where the second half of the event will be held. Everyone’s invited for free food and beverages and to hear three bands: Captain G and the Poor Man at 11 a.m.; The Phil Greer Band at noon; and Just Jake’s Trio at 1:30 p.m.
A committee planning Wreaths Across America in Webb City on Dec. 16, 2023, will hold its first meeting of the year at 1 p.m. Friday, June 16, at the Mt. Hope Cemetery chapel.
Webb City’s first participation in National Wreaths Across America Day was in 2022.
Wreaths to honor veterans in Mt. Hope Cemetery can now be sponsored online.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
