Homecoming pits the Cards against Neosho

The Webb City Cardinals will be entertaining the Neosho Wildcats for homecoming Friday.

Webb City, 1-3 after the Cardinals’ 20-14 home loss to Ozark last week, are apparently facing a tougher than usual challenge from Neosho, which is 4-0.

Mason Williams, in the role of running back as well as defensive back against Ozark, ran 53 yards for the Cardinals’ first touchdown in the second quarter.

Trailing 20-7 with 3:56 left in the game, Brody Eggleston gave new life to the Cardinals by blocking Ozark’s field goal attempt. Andrew Young picked up the ball and ran 81 yards for a touchdown. 20-14

However, the Cardinals stalled on their remaining possession as time ran out.
