The Webb City Area Chamber of Commerce and others on Friday celebrated the opening of HTeaO on South Madison Street.

HTeaO is finally open.

Potential customers have been a little frustrated because they weren’t sure what the business would offer since it’s unique to this area and the building sat empty for months.

At the ribbon-cutting Friday, Don Bachman, of Chicago, represented the ownership. He acknowledged the opening was delayed longer than they wanted – “but we’re happy to be open now.”

Skylar Bevis is general manager of the store that stays open until 8:05 p.m. each night. It opens at 7 a.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Some chamber members expressed surprise at how big the store is inside.

Tea, in many flavors, is the main thing, of course, either self-serve, by the gallon or packets to make it by the half-gallon at home.

You can also buy ice, Free Rein coffee (by the cup or bag), candy and nuts, Belgian waffles, chips, jerkey, mugs and ice chests, and merchandise (t-shirts and hats).
