We recently came across an Oronogo Mining view postcard that we had not seen before.
It was postmarked Jan. 29, 1906, in Joplin and was postmarked again on Feb. 17, 1906, in Salt Lake City, Utah. A 20-day trip! It was mailed to Miss Edna Hemphill, of Salt Lake City.
Dear Edna,
It is unfortunate for women to have to live out there. Thanks very much for card. It is worth having. These mining scenes would interest you more if you could see them for yourself.
Your cousin,
Anel Hemphill
Mines labeled are: Aurora, Little Circle, Cleveland Circle, Big Circle, Hill Top, Jasper L&Z and Oronogo No. 2.
