Webb City JROTC Cardinal Battalion’s rifle team continued to haul in awards last weekend as it hosted and competed in the Missouri State Rifle Championships.
The team of Gabriel Boone, Hope Shinn, Kayleigh Wilson and Anabella Tandy took first place in the sporter class. Second place in the same category went to the team of Thomas Patat, Nathan Bracken, Alexis Myers and Tyler Greenwood.
Anabella Tandy won first place individually in the sporter class, and Thomas Patat placed second.
In the precision class, the team of Anthony Kulju, Abigail Riggs, Amy Klor and Allie Mealman took third place.
Abigail Riggs was the first-place precision individual.
“Great job cadets,” says Lt. Col. Dustin Elder, senior Army instructor and rifle coach. He notes it won’t belong before the shooters return to Ohio for the JROTC National Rifle Championships.
