Local candidate filing period shortened by two weeks, starts Dec. 7
If you’re thinking about filing as a candidate for a local government seat – be aware that the filing period is now two weeks shorter in Missouri – it ends Tuesday, Dec. 28. Candidates in previous years had until mid January to file.
The filing period will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, and end at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28.
April 5, 2022, will be general municipal election day for cities, schools, and fire and water districts.
The two-year terms for four members on the Webb City Council are ending. They are Ray Edwards (1st Ward), Alisa Barroeta (2nd Ward), Jerry Fisher (3rd Ward) and James Dawson (4th Ward).
The Webb City R-7 School Board members whose three-year terms are ending are Stephen Crane and Dan McGrew.
