Joplin Humane Society will hold a low-cost vaccine clinic from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 15.
Services include rabies, distemper and bordetella shots for $15 each, flea preventative for $15, dewormer for $5 and microchips for $25.
Sky Kings, the remote-contol airplane club, invites spectators to attend their annual Fall Fun-Fly and Swap Meet Saturday, April 12.
Club members and guests will begin flying at 9:30 a.m. and continue until sunset, as weather permits.
There’s no admission charge for spectators. Chairs, hats and maybe umbrellas are recommended.
The Sky Kings airfield is east of East Street on Sharon Drive.
“The Odd Couple, Female Version” by Neil Simon is the next Joplin Little Theatre production, beginning March 26.
Unger and Madison are at it again! Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is, in Neil Simon’s hilarious contemporary comic classic: the female version of “The Odd Couple.” Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Constanzuela brothers. But the hilarity remains the same.
Shelly Dunn directs the cast, including Jennifer Jones as Olive Madison and Peyton Napier as Florence Unger.
The shows will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, through Saturday, March 29; and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30.
