Mark Twain ends year by honoring lots of students

Many students were honored during Mark Twain Elementary School’s last MVP assembly of the year on Thursday, May 22.

The character trait of the month was courage.  Kaisley, Naeco, Evan, Landon, Raphael, Jace, Dante, Lydia, Luke, and Jozeph were honored by their teachers for exemplifying this trait.

Reading champions

Reading champions were recognized for earning the most Accelerated Reader points. The top six readers were: Keller, with 352 points; Luke, 259; Jocelyn, 163; Rose, 133; Miles, 133, and Maverick, 131.

 

Perfect attendance

Five students recognized for perfect attendance were Jett, Raphael, Judah, Myles and Rose.

 

Principal's Awards

Bo and Luis showed great character all year long to be honored with the Principal’s Award.

 

Coach McMahon and the state champion basketball team.

Coach McMahon from Missouri Southern came to talk about teamwork. Also honored were Abby, a state champion gymnast, and the third grade state champion basketball team.
