Mark Twain Elementary School’s monthly Rodeo Assembly on Friday, Jan. 30, focused on students who demonstrate the Portrait of a Cardinal trait of empathy.
The third graders were taught that empathy means understanding and caring about how others feel while building trust, showing compassion, and seeing situations from another perspective. Amerie, Kason, Tesla, Avery, Eli, Lukas, Jenna, Steven and Claire were this month’s Most Wanted students.
Several students were noted for joining Accelerated Reading point clubs this month. The 50 point club had a big jump of 14 students. These students are Evanna, Rylie, Luke, Kynlee, Samantha, Jahaven, Kason, Caiden, Mackenzie, Witten, Jude, Colbie, Amerie, and Lucas.
New 75 point club members are Henry, Jenna, Elah, Innis, Taren, Hazel, and Kason.
New 100 point club members are Kirch and Yessenia.
Ben is a new 125 point club member and Oliver has made it to the 225 point club.
Luke was the Journey Canvas artist of the month.
