Elijah P. Jump, age 40, of Joplin, passed away on Monday at his residence.

He was born on Jan. 8, 1981, in Springfield to Rex Jump and Rose (Rush) Jump. He was very proud to be a U.S. Navy veteran. He worked in maintenance at Refresco where he loved his job, and he really loved getting to spend time with his family in his free time.

Elijah is survived by his parents, Rex and Rose Jump, of Niangua, Mo.; brothers, Ezekiel Jump, Richmond Hill, Ga., and Travis Branch, California; a sister, Amber Branch, California; and his daughter, Sera Jump, Republic. 

Services for Elijah will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home.
