June 16, 2021

Monday, May 31

16:22 – I observed a vehicle that was a suspect vehicle in theft cases and initiated a traffic stop. A 25-year-old male was arrested for felony warrants and possession of marijuana, and a 36-year-old male was arrested for warrants.

21:04 – I was dispatched to MacArthur Drive and Orogono Street for a motor vehicle crash.

Friday, June 4

13:49 – I was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at 13th and Madison streets.

Saturday, June 5

15:36 – I was dispatched to 330 S. Webb St. in reference to a domestic in progress.

Sunday, June 6

11:28 – I was dispatched to Walmart Store #267 row 7 located at 1212 South Madison Avenue in reference to a report of a disturbance. A sighed complaint for assault along with a report was taken.

19:12 – I was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a past-tense shoplifting. A 27-year-old male was arrested for resisting and trespassing.

16:30 – I was dispatched to the intersection of South Madison Street and Fountain Road in reference to a report of a two-car crash with injuries.

17:33 – An officer was dispatched to Atwoods for a past-tense theft. One adult male was arrested for burglary in the first degree and charges were sent to the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

21:47 – Officers were dispatched to 405 W. 15th St. for a domestic in progress. One adult male was arrested for domestic assault.

23:47 – I was dispatched to 2587 N. Range Line Road reference motor vehicle theft. The victim reported her vehicle was stolen while she was using the facility. An investigation was initiated and her vehicle was found shortly thereafter. 

Monday, June 7

03:22 – Officers responded to 1027 W. Daugherty St. in reference to a stolen vehicle. Information was obtained and a report taken.

05:27 – Officers responded to 24 Roundabout in reference to a two-vehicle non-injury crash.

11:02 – A male entered the WCPD lobby to report his debit card and driver’s license were removed from his wallet sometime after May 31. He contacted his bank and canceled the card. At this time there are no viable suspects or leads in the case.

14:30 – I took a report of property damage to a white 2018 GMC 2500 pickup. Someone driving a red colored vehicle struck the victim’s parked GMC truck between 14:00 and 14:10. Debris from the suspect vehicle was left at the scene. Case under investigation at this time

22:58 – Officers responded to 405 W. 15th St. in reference to stolen items.

Tuesday, June 8

06:25 – I was dispatched to 1316 S. Oronogo St. reference motor vehicle theft. The victim stated he wasn’t sure who stole his vehicle.

11:15 – I took a report of a past-tense stolen wallet from 1711 Redwood Apt. 55. The wallet had been stolen sometime after May 9 and used to purchase items at two different locations on different days. The wallet was then returned to the victim’s residence on 06-07-21 by an unknown person.

13:10 – I took a report of trespassing at 1212 S. Madison. The male suspect was apprehended on the parking lot and charged with trespassing.

13:50 – I took a report of a rock hitting and damaging a vehicle windshield while a city mower was mowing along Stadium Drive near Pennsylvania Street.

15:55 – I was dispatched to Walmart in reference to shoplifting.

21:34 – Officers responded to the 1500 block of S. Jefferson St. for a medical emergency.

13:15 – I arrested a female subject for a Webb City warrant and a Jasper County warrant. While at the jail, the female subject caused property damage by breaking the holding cell phone and was charged with property damage as well.

Wednesday, June 9

15:07 – I received a call for service at King Jack Park in reference to runaway juveniles being there. Two male juveniles where located and after a foot pursuit both were taken into custody.

Thursday, June 10

14:48 – An officer was dispatched to Madison and 10th streets in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury motor vehicle crash. A 17-year-old male was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.

19:21 – I was dispatched to the 1600 block of S. Oronogo St. for a traffic crash. The caller reported the driver of a black Chevrolet Cavalier crashed into several parked cars and was fleeing the scene on foot. Nearby residents chased and detained the driver until police arrived. The 34-year-old male driver was arrested for leaving the scene of a crash, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

15:12 – I was dispatched to a two-vehicle, non injury traffic crash near Madison Street and MacArthur Drive.

Friday, June 11

I was dispatched to the 900 block of Megan Lane in reference to a juvenile runaway.

I took a report of a past-tense theft from a residence. It was reported that a bicycle was removed from a property located in the 700 block of W. 12th St. It is believed the theft took place sometime around the 8th of June after dark.

11:41 – An officer was dispatched to East and First streets reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury motor vehicle crash.

17:18 – Officers were dispatched to 605-A Easton Drive for a report of a domestic in progress.

19:11 – Officers were dispatched to 609 N. Walker St. for a report of a suspicious person. One adult male was taken into custody for a 12-hour safe keep.

23:30 – Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Hillside Drive for a domestic in progress with weapons. One adult female was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for a 96-hour hold.

16:30 – An officer was dispatched to Madison Street and MacArthur Drive in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle crash.

17:05 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifter. The male suspect was apprehended and was cited for shoplifting.

Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of S. Walker St. for a viscous animal. The dog was located and the owner was issued citations.

Saturday, June 12

08:14 – An officer was dispatched to 1024 S. Madison St. in reference to a theft.

20:57 – I observed a moped at Main Street and Gene Hatfield Drive traveling southbound commit a traffic violation. A 41-year-old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and a warrant.

15:35 – An officer was dispatched to the roundabout in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle crash.
