May 5, 2021

Saturday, April 24

18:27 – A wallet found at Madison and Daugherty streets was turned in and placed into evidence for safekeeping.

Sunday, April 25

19:13 – Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of N. Tom St. for a report of a suicidal subject. One adult female was transported to Mercy Joplin for medical treatment.

18:02 – I was dispatched to 1031 Meadow View for a past-tense fraud/theft.

Monday, April 26

15:01 – I received a call for service at the roundabout in reference to a motor vehicle accident.

16:30 – An officer was dispatched to 1608 Jefferson Circle for an animal call. One adult male and one adult female were cited for animal at large.

21:15 –  I was dispatched to Casey’s, 337 S. Main St., for a disturbance. A 20-year-old was arrested for warrants, being a minor in possession and charges for stealing.

21:20 – Officers were dispatched to 4503-B E. Zora St. for a disturbance. The caller reported she was threatened with a knife by another woman in the apartment. A 27-year-old woman was arrested for domestic assault, resisting arrest and failure to appear.

15:57 – A key and lanyard found at 1020 S. Pennsylvania St. were turned in and placed in evidence for safekeeping.

18:15 – I was contacted by Joplin Police that they had stopped a vehicle for a report of an assault occurring in the vehicle while it was in motion. Both persons in the vehicle denied any assaults occurring. A witness observed one subject hitting the other. No one wished to pursue charges.

Tuesday, April 27

13:03 – I received a call for service at 905 N. Devon St. in reference to a suspicious person. An adult male was taken into custody for an outstanding Webb City municipal warrant.

17:39 – I spoke with a subject at WCPD who reported a theft from her vehicle at 1404 S. Ellis St.

16:57 – I attempted to make a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet passenger car. The vehicle fled the traffic stop, leading officers on a pursuit. The vehicle later crashed. The driver (single occupant) was transported to the hospital. Charges will be filled later for various offenses.

21:35 –  I spoke with a subject who reported a past-tense theft from 1502 S. Madison St.

18:17 – I arrived at 1701 Redbird Drive for a reported theft. The caller reported someone had stolen a Dell laptop from her vehicle.

17:18 – I was dispatched to 124 S. Hall St. for a past-tense domestic assault.

Wednesday, April 28

02:40 – I was dispatched to 816 Megan Lane in reference a domestic in progress. Two adults were charged with endangering the welfare of a child, possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

09:10 – An officer was dispatched to the alley behind 1315 W. Austin St. in reference to a vehicle blocking the alley and a driveway. The owner could not be located and the vehicle was towed.

12:13 – An individual came to WCPD to report they had either lost or had their cell phone stolen from them while they were at 202 E. Broadway. Information was obtained and a report was made and the phone was entered as stolen.

14:47 – An officer was dispatched to Madison Street and Stadium Drive in reference to a non-injury, motor vehicle crash.

21:24 – Officers were dispatched to a ex-parte violation that had just occurred at 4503-B E Zora St. The offender was located and arrested on probable cause.

Thursday, April 29

08:58 – Officers were dispatched to 332 S. Ball St. in reference to a domestic. A 27-year-old female was arrested on a warrant from Oklahoma.

10:36 – An individual came to WCPD to report they have been getting harassing calls while staying at 845 N. Campbell St. Charges for harassment will be sent to the municipal prosecutor on a 20-year-old female.

16:59 – Officers were dispatched to 514 S. Hall St. for a possible burglary in progress. A woman was reported to be taking property out of a house through a window. A female resident was contacted and found to have multiple warrants out of Webb City. She was taken into custody.

20:04 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting. A 36-year-old man was arrested for being a felony fugitive from justice out of Benton County Arkansas.

00:39 – Officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed fail to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of 13th and Oronogo streets. The driver was contacted and found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to jail. His vehicle was towed from the stop and his animal impounded.

18:33 – Officers were dispatched to the area of 12th and Madison streets for a non-injury motor vehicle crash.

18:23 – I was dispatched to the roundabout for a , non-injury traffic crash.

Friday, April 30

09:00 – An officer was dispatched to 1801 S. Oronogo St. in reference to a theft.

15:41 – An officer was dispatched to the roundabout in reference to a non-injury motor vehicle crash. A 24-year-old female was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.

Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on private property at Webb City High School. Both parties were located and identified and information was exchanged between vehicle owners.

17:37 – A 40-year-old  individual came to WCPD to turn himself in and was arrested on Webb City warrants.

16:49 – An officer was dispatched to Main and Fourth streets in reference to a, non-injury, motor vehicle crash.

Saturday, May 1

11:24 – Officers were dispatched to 1100 Crow Apt 12 in reference to a suspicious person. A 40-year-old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
