Sept. 1, 2021

Thursday, Aug. 19

00:02 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to a past-tense assault. A citiation for assault was mailed to a 19-year-old male.

23:20 – Officers were dispatched to 504 S. Hall St., in reference to a possible disturbance in progress. A 55-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with property damage, trespassing and peace disturbance.

Saturday, Aug. 21

21:20 – Officers were dispatched to 2587 N. Range Line in reference to alleged property damage.

22:01 – Officers responded to the 500 block of N. Webb St. for an unresponsive person. One subject was found deceased from natural causes.

Sunday, Aug. 22

00:28 – I made a traffic stop near 11th and Oronogo streets in reference a license violation. One adult male was taken into custody for driving while revoked and tampering.

02:33 – Officers responded to a disturbance at 1523 S. Jefferson Apt. A. A 63-year-old was arrested for assault.

08:53 – An officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Daugherty St. in reference to a medical call. A 60-year-old male was found deceased of natural causes.

14:55 I was dispatched to Hall and Ware streets for a two-vehicle non-injury crash.

18:22 – I was contacted at WCPD for a possible past-tense sexual misconduct. The incident occurred in the 500 block of N. Ball St.

16:08 – I was dispatched to Casey’s, 337 S. Main St., for a past-tense shoplifting.

Monday, Aug. 23

20:24 – I was dispatched to a one-vehicle injury accident at the roundabout.

02:12 – Officer’s were dispatched to 223 W. First St. in reference to a trespass in progress.

14:38 – I received a call for service at 511 N. Ball St. in reference to the theft of a motor vehicle.

Tuesday, Aug. 24

08:07 – I stopped an orange Ford Escape for speeding in a school zone. The driver was found to have county warrants and was transported to the Jasper County jail.

11:09 – I received a call for service at Fourth and Jefferson streets in reference to a motor vehicle accident.

01:51 – Officers responded to the 1600 block of Evan Court for a fictitious medical emergency.

13:44 – I conducted a traffic stop at Madison and Daugherty streets. The driver was later taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.

17:41 – I was dispatched to 200 S. Pennsylvania St. for a past-tense theft from motor vehicle.

22:44 – I was dispatched to 1802 S. Oronogo St. #2A for a past-tense theft.

Thursday, Aug. 26

12:50 – An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Tom St. in reference to a possible suicidal subject. A 65-year-old male was transported to the hospital for a 96-hour commit.

17:09 – An officer was dispatched to 919 S. Madison St. in reference to theft of a bicycle.

06:24 – I was dispatched to 823 W. Second St. in reference a past-tense domestic.

06:49 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Oronogo and 14th streets for a speeding violation. The 43-year-old female driver was cited and arrested for exceeding the posted speed limit, failure to show valid proof of insurance, and driving while suspended.

08:15 – I stopped a dark blue Chevrolet pickup pulling a trailer for speeding and for no license plate on the trailer. The driver was also found to have a suspended drivers license and was charged.

15:39 – I was dispatched to the 700 block of South Hall St. in reference to a domestic assault in progress. The caller stated that her husband, who has Alzheimer’s, had assaulted her by kicking and hitting her.

08:34 – An officer took a signed complaint from an individual about a reckless driving incident at the roundabout. Charges for careless and imprudent driving will be sent to the municipal prosecutor on a 21-year-old male.

12:27 – An officer was dispatched to 1023 W. Broadway in reference to property damage.

13:27 – An officer was dispatched to 704 N. Main St. in reference to a recovered stolen vehicle. It was determined the vehicle was stolen out of Joplin earlier in the day.

Friday, Aug. 27

08:15 – I arrived at 1604 S. Ellis Apt. 25 in reference to a dark blue 2021 Tao Tao scooter being stolen overnight.

12:02 – An individual came to WCPD to obtain property he had left. Once officers arrived, the 43-year-old male left the station, but he was located at Webb Street and Broadway, where he was taken into custody on two Jasper County warrants, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.

22:22 – Officers were dispatched to North Madison Street, across from Webb City High School, in reference to a subject who had possibly been assaulted and was laying in the roadway.

08:01 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Oronogo and 10th streets in reference to a registration violation. The 34-year-old female driver was citied and arrested for failure to register a motor vehicle and driving while revoked.

Saturday, Aug. 28

13:38 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting. A 31-year-old female was arrested for shoplifting.

10:57 – An officer was dispatched to MacArthur Drive and Powell Drive in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle crash.
