Sept. 8, 2021

Wednesday, Aug. 18

16:07 – I was dispatched to R and S Motorsports for a stolen U-Haul truck. A citation was sent to a 32-year-old female for tampering.

Wednesday, Aug. 25

17:53 – I was dispatched to the station in reference to a theft from a vehicle at 920 W. Fourth St. The victim reported someone stole his wallet from his vehicle during the evening.

17:54 – I was dispatched to the 1100 block of Homestead Drive for a natural death call.

18:50 – I was dispatched to 515 S. Hall St. for a past-tense possible fraud.

Thursday, Aug. 26

20:12 – Officers were dispatched to Atwoods in reference to a theft in progress. A 41-year-old female was arrested for active warrants.

Friday, Aug. 27

23:12 – I was westbound on Daugherty Street at Main Street when I observed a pickup with a nonfunctioning brake light. A 32-year-old male was arrested for warrants.

17:21 – I was dispatched to MacArthur Drive and Madison Street for motor vehicle crash.

18:13 – I was dispatched to North East Street and Daugherty Street for a two-vehicle, non-injury, traffic crash. The driver of a vehicle traveling south on East Street rear ended another vehicle stopped for traffic at the stop light.

Saturday, Aug. 28

00:49 – I observed a moped’s brake light was not bright enough to distinguish from the running tail light as the driver turned onto Second Street from Madison Street. The 35-year-old male was arrested for driving while revoked.

Sunday, Aug. 29

04:33 – A 35-year-old female was cited for supplying intoxicants to a minor at 701 N. Liberty St.

11:10 – I received a call for service at Walmart in reference to a female leaving the store without paying for merchandise concealed inside her purse. She was subsequently arrested and held in lieu of bond.

12:35 – An anonymous person entered the WCPD lobby to report an elderly male was standing outside the rail of the fifth floor balcony on the east side of Cardinal Towers, 324 N. Tom St. The male was grabbed by a firefighter, police officer and a METS ambulance medical technician and pulled over the rail onto the decking. The man was transported by ambulance due to his possible overdose of pills and held on a mental commit.

15:18 – A male entered WCPD and reported a scooter stolen from his residence at 802 W. Fourth St.

00:44 – An officer conducted an investigative stop at Oronogo and Fifth streets. A  42-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while suspended.

05:29 – Officers were dispatched to McDonald’s, in reference to a possible intoxicated driver in the drive thru. A report was taken for a minor in possession.

14:31 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to fraud at 306 N. Main St.

Monday, Aug. 30

19:55 – Officers responded to 800 N. Main St. for a past-tense assault.

Tuesday, Aug. 31

07:50 – I received a call for service at 607 W. Fourth St. in reference to a past-tense burglary.

17:37 – Officers contacted a subject at 475 S. Madison St. in reference to a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash. One subject was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

Wednesday, Sept. 1

00:55 – An officer was dispatched to Waffle House in reference to a past-tense fraud. The victim reported someone accessed his money in his debit account without authorization.

08:30 – I arrived at South Hall Street and Enterprise Drive for a two-vehicle crash. Occupants reported no injuries and both vehicles had only minor damage.

09:20 – I arrived in the 800 block of W. First St. in reference to a juvenile in possession of marijuana. Two male juveniles were charged with possession of marijuana and released to their parents.

11:23 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. A 43-year-old male was arrested.

09:42 – An officer was dispatched to the roundabout in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle crash.

12:44 – An officer was dispatched to 13th and Madison streets in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle crash.

Thursday, Sept. 2

11:40 – I was dispatched to 2617 N. Range Line Road in Oakland Plaza regarding a truck jumping a stop bar and damaging a portion of the building.

17:13 – I was dispatched to 1761 N. East St. for property damage.

20:54 – I was dispatched to the 700 block of S. Hall St. in reference to a runaway juvenile.

Friday, Sept. 3

11:41 – I received a call for service at 700 Levi Street in reference to a past-tense domestic assault.

23:11 – Officers were dispatched to 805 Meadow Circle in reference to a stolen vehicle.

Saturday, Sept. 4

05:18 – A traffic stop was conducted at Fourth and Liberty streets. A 43-year-old male was arrested for driving while revoked.

18:27 – Officers responded to 1013 Crow St. in reference to a domestic assault in progress. One subject was taken into custody without incident.
