Rezoning for a three-story six-plex on Main Street was advanced Monday by the Webb City Planning and Zoning Commission to the City Council.
Phillip Powell presented a conceptual site layout for the project, The Lofts at Lily’s Place, which is to be built at 501 N. Main St.
On that property until last year was a concrete-block garage. It burned to the ground.
Powell’s layout includes a parking lot with 18 spaces. While that’s more than needed, Powell said it would also be for another apartment complex he plans to build on the lot to the north.
The building would have two 1,028-square-foot apartments on each of the three floors.
There was no opposition to the rezoning request, and the board voted unanimously to send it to the city council. The next step will be two hearings on an ordinance rezoning the property from C-2 commercial to R-3 residential.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
