Russell Coleman's friends at Express Rx replace his stolen cart

Russell Coleman can regularly be seen pulling his cart while keeping downtown Webb City free of litter.

That cart, though, has not been seen since it disappeared from Coleman’s front porch in the Housing Authority on Super Bowl night in February.

Coleman spread the word among his downtown friends to watch out for the missing cart.

He was caught off guard when the Express Rx employees surprised him by buying him a new cart.

“We see him all the time,” says Kerri Kelley, the pharmacist in charge. “He does so much to help the community we wanted to do something for him.”

All of the employees contributed to replace the cart.

Even though he now has the new cart, Coleman still wants the old one returned. “It’s the city’s – not mine,” he says. It had a Webb City sign on the side of it.

Coleman empties the downtown trash cans and hauls away the trash bags with the cart. “I make sure Main Street is clean,” he says.

He also cleans up after the monthly cruise nights (which will resume in April) and cleans windows for some businesses.
