The tradition of Santa arriving by plane to greet children before Christmas is being continued by the Freedom of Flight Museum at the former Joplin airport terminal.
Santa will fly in at 1 p.m. and stay until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30. Museum doors will open at noon.
Children from 1 to 12 years of age will receive a goody bag, a chance to visit with Santa and a photo opportunity. A $2 charge will help pay museum expenses. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This is the second Santa Fly-In fundraiser put on by the Freedom of Flight Museum, 5501 Dennis Weaver Drive, Webb City.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
