Pat Lawhorn fills in a number on her card as it’s called during the first bingo game since the Webb City Senior Citizens Center reopened Tuesday.
Seniors return to the Center
Finally, the area senior citizens centers are reopening after being closed more than a year because of the pandemic.
This was the first week for the Webb City Senior Citizens Center to welcome back its regulars.
During this soft reopening period, lunch and bingo will only be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Bingo is played from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Reservations are required for lunch to determine how big a crowd to cook for. Call (417) 673-1876.
There’s also an exercise class from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesdays.
Rosalee Jarmin claims a prize after her winning bingo card is confirmed.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
