Soccer Cardinals win first three conference games
Webb City girls soccer has improved its record to 12-2 while staying undefeated in the Central Ozark Conference.
The Cardinals beat Ozark for the first time ever with a 1-0 score at home on Thursday, April 15.
On Tuesday this week, they went to Willard for a 6-0 win. They had previously beaten Joplin 8-0.
Next up, they will be at Branson Thursday, followed by three home games next week: Monday against Logan-Rogersville (7-6); Tuesday against Carl Junction (9-3), and Friday against Nixa (7-3).
In a game between two state-ranked baseball teams that could have gone either way, Webb City fell to Willard at home Monday 5-4.
Willard was ranked first and Webb City was ranked second.
The 13-3 Cardinals won 21-5 Thursday, April 15, at Ozark.
They will play at home Thursday against Branson.

Coach Dustin Miller says, “The kids competed well, but we haven’t hit a lot of great marks due to the weather. We have a lot of work to do as we approach the postseason, but this is a hardworking group and we look forward to the challenge of being our best when it matters.”
The Carl Junction meet is Friday, followed by the Webb City Invitational on April 30. Monday will be the JV COC meet at Branson.
