Softball field improvements and six tennis courts are under construction

The fourth of six terraces for the new spectator seating at the softball field was under construction Tuesday. Concrete seating, suitable for lawn chairs, will reach the height of the concession stand base.

Fine-gravel is being prepared as a base for six new tennis courts. There will also be a parking lot and lights.

In addition to new seating, the softball field sports new turf, backstop and dugouts.
