In September, Carterville Elementary students focused on teamwork. They learned some ways to be a good teammate are by being respectful, listening to others, offering to help, taking turns, sharing ideas, giving thoughtful feedback, encouraging everyone to do their best, and having a positive attitude.
September MVPs were recognized Friday during the Game Day assembly at Mark Twain Elementary.
Teamwork was the character trait of the month.
Missouri Southern State University basketball players came to talk about what teamwork means to them.
Also, classes were recognized for outstanding attendance, with the prize being an extra recess.
MVPs were nominated by their teachers for exemplifying teamwork. They are:
Bernardo, Bo, Keller, Aaralynn, Jaeliana, Leighton, Luke, Rylan, Bailey and Claira.
