Suspect sought as police investigate armed robbery at Dollar General
The Webb City Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place around 9 p.m. Tuesday at Dollar General, 1510 S. Madison St.
According to Police Chief Don Melton, witnesses told officers that a whitew male entered the store and demanded cash from the employees.
The suspect displayed a handgun and took an undetermined amount of cash. He was wearing a black and green cap, face mask, blue long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and brown boots. He fled north as he left the store on foot.
Melton asks anyone who recognizes the suspect to call WCPD at (417) 773-1911. “Do not approach the suspect, as he is considered armed and dangerous,”
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
