Fifteen vocalists represented Webb City High School Saturday at the recent District Honor Choir event.
Three seniors, Addy Ragsdale, Anna Beth Trueblood and Anne Marie Wright were chosen for the second year in a row to sing with the state honor choir.
Choir director Melinda Benham says she isn’t aware of any singers from Webb City during her tenure being selected for state honor choir two years in a row. All juniors and seniors had the opportunity to audition for state.
Ragsdale, Trueblood and Wright will prepare and perform with the state honor choir in January at the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference.
Additionally, Nina Nguyen was selected as honorable mention and qualified to perform with them in July as part of the Missouri Choral Directors Festival Choir
