Webb City will honor its veterans this coming week, beginning Sunday with a free brunch at Veterans Hall, 900 N. Main St.
Eggs, bacon, sausage and biscuits will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10. All veterans, police officers, firefighters and other emergency responders, including their families, are invited.
On Monday, Nov. 11, Webb City High School will hold its traditional Veterans Day assembly.
Principal Jeff Wilkie invites veterans and their spouses to gather for a reception at 9 a.m. before they are introduced before the student body in the Cardinal Dome.
Lt. Col. Dustin Elder, the JROTC senior Army instructor, will be the featured speaker.
After that at 11 a.m., the Webb City Elks Club will honor veterans at their annual ceremony at Memorial Park.
Also, mark your calendar for the annual free Thanksgiving Dinner at Veterans Hall on Sunday, Nov. 24.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
