Webb City American Legion and VFW posts will also hold their annual Thanksgiving Dinner for everyone in the Webb City R-7 School District on Sunday, Nov. 19.
Veterans Day falling on Saturday this year will be observed on more than one day.
At 9:30 a.m. Friday, Webb City High School will hold its annual Veterans Day assembly, at which all area veterans are urged to attend and be honored.
Webb City Elks Club will hold its annual ceremony in Memorial Park at 11 a.m. Saturday.
The 36th annual Joplin Community Veterans Day Parade will start at 10 a.m. Saturday. It will begin at 15th and Main Street, going north to Third Street, west to Joplin Avenue and then south to the parking lots between Fifth and Seventh streets.
Banks will be closed Monday.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
